It’s been going on since the dawn of time. It started as a way to make the months pass more quickly, but soon evolved into the ultimate challenge. For this bet involves more than money or possessions.
It involves the human soul.
It’s simple, really: At the end of the world, whoever has the most souls in possession wins. But both God and the Devil have tricks up their sleeves, and as time slips away and the lines between good and evil blur, they’re willing to do anything to succeed.
Their latest conquest: Modern-day Chicago.
As citizens walk the streets, Angels and Demons are patrolling the sidewalks, playing heart- and headgames. Spirits and the Undead are joining the war, borrowing human bodies to help in any way they can. No one is safe. Even die-hard Christians are having their faith put to the test.
